5 Key Learnings from API Connect 2026 - Ahmedabad

The inaugural edition of API Connect 2026 in Ahmedabad was more than just an event for us at Ki Eventz, it was a defining experience. Bringing together diverse stakeholders from across the pharmaceutical ecosystem, the event challenged us, inspired us, and most importantly, taught us invaluable lessons that will shape how we design and deliver future experiences.

Here are five key learnings we’re taking forward:

1. The Power of a Niche, Purpose-Driven Platform

One of the biggest takeaways was the importance of creating a focused industry platform. API Connect was built specifically around the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient ecosystem, and that clarity of purpose resonated strongly with attendees.

Rather than being a broad, generic event, the niche positioning helped attract decision-makers, experts, and stakeholders who were deeply invested in the subject. It reinforced our belief that depth creates more value than breadth when it comes to industry events.

2. Collaboration is the Real Currency

While content and speakers are important, what truly stood out was the value of collaboration and connection. Some of the most impactful moments didn’t happen on stage, but during informal conversations, networking breaks, and one-on-one meetings.
